This site is kept running, free, by Anissa of Walks for Lucy, a dog walking and pet sitting business in Reston. She’s out in the neighborhood every school morning and wanted families to have a fast, reliable answer.

Where the information comes from

Days off and school hoursEach division’s official 2026–27 calendar and bell schedule.
Snow days and delays: FairfaxThe emergency alerts FCPS posts on fcps.edu, checked every few minutes. When FCPS posts an alert, we show their message and link to it.
Snow days and delays: LoudounThe alert banners LCPS posts on lcps.org, checked every few minutes, the same way as Fairfax.
Snow days and delays: Prince WilliamNot automatic. pwcs.edu doesn’t allow automated checks, so Prince William pages show the calendar and point to pwcs.edu in bad weather.
LunchFCPS menus (MealViewer). Loudoun menus are linked on LINQ Connect.

Privacy

No accounts, no ads and no tracking. Schools you save (and any names you give them) are stored only in your browser.

To suggest schools near you on your first visit, the site uses the rough location that comes with your internet connection (about the town). It isn’t stored. “Use my location” works it out on your phone; your exact location never leaves it.
